Winter Mornings

It’s not always easy to start the day in the dark, but there is still something very beautiful about a winter morning.  To me, the darkness of dawn is quite different from the darkness of evening (or afternoon, if you’re in Aberdeen in the winter).  Here are some winter morning moments:

Pink clouds at sunrise, Aberdeen, 8:10 a.m., 27 October 2010. The one on the bottom looks like a fish swimming across the sky to me!

Houses tipped by golden light at sunrise, Aberdeen

Frosty feathers on car windows, 25 October 2010. (I'm very glad we don't use the car most days!)

Frost on rooves, Aberdeen, November 2010

I wish you some beautiful winter mornings!

  1. What wonderful photographs! Thank you.
As someone who is just heading into (Australian) summer, I am happy to admire from a distance. I’m looking forward to a few months of complaining about the heat 🙂

You have really captured that brisk early morning feeling.

    Beautiful.

    • Dear oldblack,
Thanks very much for stopping by and I’m glad you’re enjoying the frosty photographs!
