Merry Christmas agus Nollaig Chridheil
I want to say a big thank-you to everyone who stops by my blog, and wish you all a Merry Christmas (or Happy Dec 25th if you don’t celebrate Christmas). I’ve had such fun since I began this blog in May. The blog-land I’ve discovered has proved what I often say to the Dafter: “Most people are good.” Here are a few Christmas scenes from our house to wish you a Very Merry Christmas.
Christmas tree 2010. Straw ornaments from Bishop Hill, Illinois; carved wooden angel bought at a craft fair in Scotland; cow from Tillamook Dairies in Oregon; purple bauble painted by our dear friend Gay. I can't remember where the bird holding the letter came from but I love it!
Delicate carved wooden tealight holder from a friend who brought it to us from Berlin. (Photo taken by the Dafter.)
Candles on the mantlepiece, along with an old Christmas card that I put up every year, showing an angel pouring blessings on a village. At the far right is an angel snow-globe that I love.
Tiny Christmas dish from my grandmother Amy's Christmas china. I treasure it, and marvel that she HAD Christmas china, as they weren't particularly well-off. Bless you Granny and Grampa!
I wish you all peace and joy. Will the animals speak at midnight on Christmas Eve? Exciting!
Leis a h-uile beannachd. Tapadh leibh airson leughadh, agus Nollaig Chridheil dhuibh! (With every blessing. Thank you for reading and Merry Christmas to you!)
