Autumn is here!

The temperature has dropped (even further) and yesterday morning there was a touch of frost when we awoke!  Autumn is truly here.  Tilly has begun to frequent her basket:

The sunrise this morning was very beautiful.  Here’s what we saw at 7:15 am:

This next photo is blurry – but I will claim that it is atmospheric.  The colours are true:

Thank you for all your kind comments about my story, and for your good wishes for the Dafter.  At the moment she is making progress, if slowly.  I’m trying to focus on all that is good and count my blessings!  I hope you’re all having a good week.

  1. Frost in the north – time too! Oh to be a cosy cat.
Continued good wishes for the Dafter’s recovery.

  2. Your picture make me look forward to those pretty, crisp mornings. Hope you are enjoying the change in the air.

  3. Wonderful colours, Christine. It’s still mild down South, although I suspect a change will come quite soon.

  4. I love sunrises. All the promise of the day ahead. The colours are beautiful. There is something quite wonderful about this time of year – even if it is getting colder wetter and darker!

  5. Oh, to be a cat curled up by the heater. That’d be nice.

Instead I’ve been out running at sunrise. I must stop to look at the colours one of these days, just in case they’re as nice as yours 😉

  6. Frost already! Sigh. Love your kitty’s name. What a beautiful sunrise, a wonderful start to the day! So glad to hear the Dafter is slowly getting back to herself. It must take quite a burden off your mind. xx

  7. Dear All,

Thank you very much for your comments – I’m glad you liked the sunrise photos! I am indeed enjoying the change in the air.

And yes, oh to be a cat curled up all cosy! Tilly was a stray from the cat and dog home. I’ve always wondered what her name was before, but she’s never revealed it. We chose the name Tilly in rather a hurry but we think it suits her.
