This afternoon we are all preparing for the Dafter going back to school tomorrow, albeit only until morning break.  It means a new class, a new year, and other challenges for her.

Hope for the future, January 8th 2012.

I am so very proud of her strength and courage.  And I thank everyone who has sent warm wishes for her and us over the last few months.   They have meant a great deal to us.

Happy new week to all!

  1. Well done to the Dafter. I am sure it will be a good morning.

  2. Hope all goes well.

  3. All the luck in the world for the Dafter and for you all, I’ll keep my fingers crossed tomorrow morning…

  4. All best wishes to Ms Dafter. One day at a time! 🙂

  5. So exciting to hear this! Very best wishes to the Dafter and to you and Michael tomorrow, and the days after.

  6. Yay for the Dafter! I hate joining new groups so I understand a little about the situation she has to deal with.

And as the parent of one child who had to switch schools to escape bullying, and of another child who suffers from a chronic debilitating disease which has impaired his academic progress, I also have some empathy with your situation.

I am sure the Dafter’s spirits will be lifted by your hopefulness.

  7. I’m thinking about Dafter. I hope it’s a very good morning.

  8. Sending lots of love to Dafter this morning. I’m sure this will be a wonderful new beginning for you all 🙂

  9. Good luck my dearest Dafter…stay strong, you can do it! xx

  10. What good news! Stay brave Dafter! Very best wishes to you! xx

  11. FANTASTIC FANTASTIC NEWS!!!! Hooray and much hope being sent from here in Sydney!

  12. Dear everyone,

Thank you once again so very much for all your good wishes. So far so good, although not always easy! However, that’s life. The Dafter has been very brave and I have heard her laughing and singing, so that’s a great thing. We are very much taking one day at a time.

oldblack – hats off to you! No-one said parenting would be easy but sometimes it is *so* very challenging… I’m sure you have been a fantastic help to both your children over the years.

  13. That’s such good news! I’m glad to hear she’s well enough to begin the journey back to school. Will keep her in my prayers.

  14. Such good news that she’ s able to head back to classes….what a great way to start off the new year!

Christine..thanks for your comment. I chose Colossians last year because I found a printable memorization plan for it online. It laid it all out for me and was portable as well. I was blessed so much by memorizing and meditating on the book of Colossians…I found it a Holy Experience…Ann Voskamp’s blog.

  15. Still thinking of you all.
