Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

A very happy St. Patrick’s Day to you!  Today I unwrapped some pressed four-leaf clovers that we found near a friend’s house:

Four-leaf clovers

It is a gorgeous day here in Aberdeen and believe it or not the Dafter is out on the front lawn with the neighbour, eating a packed lunch.  Lovely to see that!  I leave you with the traditional Irish blessing:

May the roads rise to meet you,

May the wind be always at your back,

May the sun shine warm upon your face,

the rains fall soft upon your fields

and until we meet again may God hold you in the hollow of his hand.

Bye for now!

  1. Happy St. Patrick’s Day, friend.

  2. I wish you the same.
    A picnic – what a good idea!

  3. i love that blessing. i wish the same for you and your household. sounds like a lovely day there in Aberdeen.

  4. I’ve only found one four -leaf clover in my life and here you have three! I do hope they bring you luck! How wonderful that the Dafter is having a picnic outside. Happy St. Patrick’s Day to you and your family xx

  5. Happy (belated) St. Patrick’s Day to you too. I’ve never even seen a four leaf clover in real life. I’ve tried to find them, but no luck yet.

  6. I love that Irish blessing – thanks for sharing 🙂

  7. How lucky you are to find those… daughter is always on the search for one but has never found one yet!

  8. A belated thank-you to everyone for the lovely St. Patrick’s day wishes. Yes, the four-leaf clovers were a ridiculously easy find. We were visiting our friends, and they said, “Oh there’s a patch of four-leaf clovers over there,” and so there were! Like Fleur Cotton’s daughter, I had searched for them all my life, and there they were just in a big bunch for the picking. Strange but true.
